Bellydance for Core Fitness
If you buy this DVD expecting to work up a sweat, you'll be disappointed. This is not a workout in that sense. Instead, it's a very thorough, controlled, slow but effective workout for your core muscles.
This is a long DVD - well over 2 hours. But less than an hour is devoted to the actual workout - the rest is all explanation (labelled "tutorial").
The explanation of posture and core muscles is exhaustive, if not exhausting! If you're interested in anatomy and like to understand how your body works, you'll be fascinated. If not, you'll be bored silly - but you can't complain about a lack of information!
The teacher, Ayshe, is degree qualified in Human Movement, and clearly knows her technique inside out - few belly dance teachers are able to analyse movements this thoroughly.
Recommended for serious belly dance students.
